Support our troops as they fight in Afghanistan through the Ale4Forces Programme
What is Ale4Forces?
The Ale4Forces programme supports injured army personnel and their families through Britain’s favourite social activity – having a pint. The programme brings together local independent brewers, pubs and drinkers across South East England to support our troops. A donation of 10p will be made each time someone buys a pint of a participating ale. The 10p goes directly to one of three key military charities.

How you can support the programme?
Buy any participating ale in the programme and automatically 10p will have gone to charity. Each beer in the programme will be clearly visible in the pub as its pumpclip will have this badge attached:

Why we did this:
Craig Douglas and Frans Op den Kamp, owners of the Bree Louise pub, wanted to support two British traditions they feel passionately about: ales and the military.
Their love of beer is apparent to anyone who comes to the Bree Louise, beside Euston station. Equally they wanted to find a way that ordinary beer drinkers could support Britain’s troops in a meaningful way through the course of their normal everyday actions. Thus they came up with the idea of the Ale4Forces programme - a way to support our soldiers when Government funds are ever more limited but the needs of injured soldiers and their families are increasing.
While the Government ensures that our troops have access to world class medical treatment there is still a need to support them in the longer term. By supporting Ale4Forces you can help provide funds to rehabilitate soldiers, refurbish homes to accommodate disabled soldiers, help address mental health issues for returning troops and much more.
Our troops need your help. Have a pint for them.
Goal: Sell 1 million pints during the course of the programme, thereby raising £100,000
How long will the programme run?
From September 1st 2010 until the end of the year
